About

Our service was established in 1962, initially with only 2 staff members. Over the past 50 years, we have developed a team consisting of 18 registered professional social workers. Through family counselling services, family support and resource services, we strive to serve with professional knowledge and spirit to help residents of the Southern District who are in face of life difficulties enabling them to seek a positive way out.

 

Service Mission

Based on the "child-focused, family-oriented, community-based" direction, through a one-stop integrated service, individuals and family are empowered to develop their potentials and to use relevant community resources. The purpose is to strengthen the resilience of individuals and families, to encourage mutual help, to achieve effective prevention and coping with various problems and challenges.

 

Service Objectives

  • Improve family relationships, strengthen and consolidate family functions, and promote family harmony.
  • Enhance the ability of individuals and families to deal with difficulties and resolve their crises.
  • Ally with district’s institutes and community partners to establish a mutual-help community.

 

Target Group

Residents living in the West of the Southern District (Tin Wan, Wah Fu, Pokfulam to Sandy Bay) and South Horizons

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 9:00 am to 12:30 noon, 1:30 to 5:00 pm
Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 am to 12:30 noon, 1:30 to 8:00 pm 
Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
*Monday to Friday: Centre lunch time 12:30 to 1:30 pm, closed 
Closed on Sundays and public holidays
