Service Introduction

Caritas–Hong Kong, with funding from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, became one of the partner organisations in the project starting from 2018. It launched a 4-year service programme called the "Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project" in 8 Caritas Integrated Family Service Centres, which was extended in October 2022 to a second phase lasting 3 years.

The project integrates cross-sectoral collaboration, aiming to leverage advanced Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and data analytics to establish innovative and evidence-based family service models. This enables service users to benefit more from the preventive, supportive, and early remedial services provided by Integrated Family Service Centres, thereby promoting family well-being and enhancing the sector capacity in the use of technology and data for family service innovations that can respond to emerging service needs. The project also developed online sharing platforms — "FamilyPORT", "FamilyPORTable", and the self-help e-book "《Marriage +》From Me to We for Newlywed" — to conduct knowledge transfer activities. These not only facilitate professional exchanges among frontline staff but also effectively provide service users with spaces for community information sharing, flexible learning, and relaxed co-creation.
