Caritas Family Service has been serving the residents of the Hong Kong Eastern District since 1973. We have accumulated rich experience in counselling and adopted an integrative model to provide preventive, supportive and remedial services for the families residing in the district.

Service Mission

Based on the direction of “Children as the priority, Families as the base and Community as the Foundation”, through the one-stop integrated service, families are helped to develop their inner strength and to utilize community resources in order to strengthen individuals and families.

Service Objectives

-    To enhance relationship among family members, strengthen family functioning and promote harmony in the family;
-    To enhance individuals and families’ capacities in handling difficulties, provide emotional support and problem-solving methods;
-    To liaise with community resources and to build up mutual support in the community.

Service Boundary & Targets

Individuals or families residing within the boundary of Lei King Wan, Sai Wan Ho and A Kung Ngam, Shau Kei Wan.

B.    Family Support Service

• Family Life Education
• Marriage enrichment 
• Mutual support for single-parents
• Parenting support

• Referrals
• Enquiry & counselling service

C.    Family Counselling Service

• Professional counselling service
• Crisis intervention
• Therapeutic groups

Service Entry

• To call or drop-in to the Centre during office hour to enquire about the required service
• Referral from other agencies
• Fee:

-    Free of charge for professional casework counselling
-    Groups, programs, pre-marital counselling & other services will be charged according to individual item.

Termination of Service

Generally speaking, when mutually agreed case goal has been achieved or completion of group or program, service will be terminated.  In special circumstances, service user or social worker can request for the termination of service.
