The School Social Work Services provide professional services for 39 secondary schools in Hong Kong. We collaborate closely with families, schools and other social organizations to enhance student’s competence in facing different personal, interpersonal, family and academic issues. In such, we help promote students’ wellbeing and holistic growth in order to foster their holistic healthy development.
Our Works
We provide individual/group counselling and consultations that are tailored to our user’s particular needs and goals. In order to achieve the goals, we utilize our professional knowledge along with different social resources and services, including educational, developmental and therapeutic groups and activities (e.g. seminars, talks and training courses), which are exampled below:
- Love and Sex Education – to establish healthy perspective on love attitude and sex related issues among youngsters.
- Emotion Management and Social Skills Programs – to strengthen student’s emotion regulation and social abilities.
- Career Planning Programs – to assist students to set goals for their academic and future careers.
- Mental Health Activities – to nourish students with a balanced mindset while striving for excellence at school and their daily lives.
- Healthy School Program – to equip students with positive thinking and develop different character strengths.
- Volunteer and Leadership Programs – To provide opportunities for students to organize and participate different volunteer programs, enabling them to become thoughtful, creative and mature future leaders.
- Peer Program – The senior form students help orientate new comers in their secondary school life, building close relationships while developing their social competence.
- Accountant Ambassador Project – Certified Accountants share with students their expertise and experience in the field. Students will have a taste on the accounting industry through seminar and accountant firm visits.
- Parent-child Educational Program – To help develop positive communication and supportive relationships among students and parents, with topics related to parenting knowledge and skills.
