About

Upon service reorganization, Caritas Family Service has combined and reallocated the resources of fifteen family service centres and established eight integrated family service centres disturbed in Hong Kong South, Shau Kei Wan, Wong Tai Sin Southwest, Shatin, Fanling, Tin Shui Wai, Tuen Mun and Tsuen Wan. The integrated family service centres liaise community resources aim at promoting the relationship and harmony among family members, strengthening and consolidating family functioning through multiple and interactive service formats.

Family Service Mission 

  1. Provide professional service to maintain the family, facilitating harmonious relationship among family members, and developing potential to face challenges.
  2. Strengthen family, build up community
  3. Strategy: Strengthen internal coordination, enhance service user participation, flex resource allocation, simplify administration, develop fee-charge service, promoting continued learning.

 

Service Objective

  1. To promoting the relationship and harmony among family members, strengthening and consolidating family functioning. 
  2. To increase the individual and family’s problem solving ability, to provide emotional support and alternatives in problem solving.
  3. To liaise community resources, to publicize and to build up a mutual support community.

 

Service Content and Format

  1. Family Counselling Service: include professional counselling service, crisis intervention and therapeutic groups for the users to face their adversity. 
  2. Family Support Service: include family life education programmes, community education activities, marriage enrichment programmes and groups, mental health educational/supportive programmes, mutual help groups, family aid service, referral and enquiry service.
  3. Family Resource Service: include books, video and newspapers resource corners, recreational activities and interest classes, programmes for preschoolers, volunteer training and activities and other parent-child activities.

Individuals and families who live in the service boundary of Caritas Integrated Family Service Centre (IFSC)

  2. Can be referred by other agencies
     

Service Charge

  1. Professional counseling service: free of charge
  2. Groups, activities, pre-marital counseling and others: fee will be charged
