Starting from mid-1970's, Caritas Family Service began to provide service to residents of Tuen Mun. Through providing services for more than three decades, we have transformed to Integrated Family Service Centre (IFSC) in 2004 October. We adopt an “Integrated approach to deliver preventive, supportive and remedial services at a one-stop Centre.
Service Mission
Under the direction of "child-centred, family-focused and community- based", we aim to enable individuals and families to utilize their internal strengths. We also make use of community resource to strengthen their abilities to face adversity. We promote mutual help spirits so that families can effectively cope with family problems and challenges.
Target Group
The residents of the following estate are eligible for our service,
Shan King Estate, Tai Hing Estate, Leung King State, Tin King Estate, Kin Sang Estate, Siu Hin Court, San Wai Court, Siu Lung Court, Siu Kwai Court, Siu Pong Court, Venice Gardens, Blossom Gardens, Eight Regency, Goodrich Garden, Ori, Terrace Concerto, Ho Tin Village, Moon Tin Estate and NOVO LAND.
Services
- Professional counseling service, crisis intervention and treatment group;
- Family life educational program, marital enrichment group, single parent mutual aid group, parenting zone as well as man service;
- Tangible and referral services, inquiry services;
- Family resource centre: reference books, magazines, volunteer training programs, interest classes.
- Family aide service: home-based or group training for parents, care persons in families or individuals to develop basic skills in self-care, general household management and child care
