Service Introduction

About

The project, formerly known as the "Love and Chastity Parent-child Sex Education Program", began to provide limited scope of service through private donation in 2008. By October 2011, it was renamed as "Love and Chastity Comprehensive Sex Education Project” after granted the Quality Education Fund to implement a three-year sex education service. We have partnership with 44 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in the service provision. A steering committee composing of professionals from relevant sectors had been form to advice and support the team. The service targets have been extended to students, parents and teachers of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools.

By February 2015, the Quality Education Fund was approved again to launch the second three-year program. We have networked with more than 100 partners in this phase.

Project Ideology

Sex is part of a perfect life and contribute to a person's complete personality. However, today's young people are facing rapidly changing values and challenges, which has much impact on traditional moral norms. Some media had exaggerated the physical aspect of “Sex”, adolescents having more open attitude towards sex and premarital sex became more common. This change has caused much influence towards the personal growth of adolescent, family, school and society as a whole.

In this era, "body is viewed as commodity, love is instant food, and marriage is unreliable". Therefore, we would like to position "sex education" in the cultivation of values, so that young people can learn to face "sex", "love", "life", "body" and "opposite sex relationship" with "respect" and "faith". At the same time, we aim to equip parents and teachers with appropriate attitudes and skills to be the mentor of young people to teach them the appropriate sexual values.

What is "love"?

Love is forbearing, love is kind, love is not jealous, not exaggerated, not arrogant, not doing rude things, not seeking self-benefit, not being angry, not trying to do evil things, not taking pleasure in unrighteousness, but rejoicing with the truth; Be tolerant in everything, believe in everything, hope in everything, endure in everything. (1 Cor 13:4-8)

What is "Loyalty"?

Loyalty is being faithful to the loved one, being honest and constant with him/her, and being willing to discipline one's behavior and not do anything to hurt the partner.
